Renting in Princeton, Indiana

Princeton is the county seat of Gibson County, in the southwest corner of Indiana. It's a small city built around a courthouse square, with quiet residential streets, North Gibson schools, and an easy drive south to Evansville when you want a bigger night out.
Moving here for Toyota?
Toyota Indiana is the largest employer in the area, and a good share of the people we lease to are moving here to work there or to support it. Most of the homes we manage are within about ten minutes of the plant, which makes shift work a lot easier than a long county commute.
If you have a start date, tell us early. Rental inventory in Princeton is genuinely tight — homes here often lease before they're ever advertised — so the renters who plan a month or two ahead get the best choice. We keep a waitlist and work through it in order.
Neighborhoods
Downtown & the square
Older homes with character, walkable to the courthouse, the library, and local restaurants. Great if you like being able to walk somewhere in the evening.
East side
Established residential streets near North Gibson schools. Popular with families for the yards and the short school run.
South & west side
A mix of mid-century ranches and newer builds, with quick access to US-41 and the shortest drives to the industrial corridor.
What renters should know
- Utilities — on our homes tenants pay water, electric, and gas, and handle lawn care.
- Pets — most of our homes allow up to two cats or dogs with a pet fee. Always ask first.
- Winter — southern Indiana winters are mild by Midwest standards but do bring ice. Homes with attached garages and carports go quickly for a reason.
- Timing — start looking four to six weeks before your move date, and have your documents ready so you can apply the day you tour.
